Limerick’s Major Elected Banking Association Director

LIMERICK PA – Joseph W. Major, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of The Victory Bank, 548 N. Lewis Rd., Limerick PA, has been elected to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) board of directors, the bank announced Tuesday (Aug. 10, 2010).

Major serves as the board’s Deposit Category “A” representative, and will fill a three-year term that began July 1. He also is a faculty member of the association’s Advanced School of Banking, and has been a guest speaker on investor relations and Internet banking. Major joins other members in meeting at least quarterly to determine association policies and administration. All board members are senior-level officers of PBA member banks.

During his career, Major also served as president and CEO of Vartan National Bank, located in suburban Harrisburg PA; and at Patriot Bank Corp., Pottstown PA. In addition, he has served as a director for The First National Bank of Liverpool, and ETA, a bank data processing service bureau.

The Victory Bank is a locally owned and operated commercial bank headquartered in Limerick.
