POTTSTOWN PA – A water-cooled charge air cooler designed by Dana Holding Corp. specifically for the 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup truck is being exhibited through Thursday (Sept. 30, 2010) during the IAA Commercial Vehicles Expo in Hanover, Germany, the company announced last week.

Dana operates an automotive driveshaft plant and administrative offices in Pottstown PA.

The truck features a turbocharged diesel engine, and provides improved torque, power, and fuel economy. For it and similarly equipped vehicles, according Dana’s director of advanced thermal engineering Ted Zielinski, the company is offering “innovative, lightweight solutions – such as its water-cooled charge air cooler – that provide optimal fuel economy benefits and greater vehicle performance.”

Dana is manufacturing the water coolers at its Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada facility.
