MARKING THE SEVENTH OBSERVANCE OF ‘PINK DAY’ – In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in Pottstown PA is being illuminated from dusk to dawn by pink lights, the hospital reported Thursday (Oct. 7, 2010). Marketing and Community Relations Director Debra Bennis said the lights help to raise breast cancer awareness, and “create a symbol of solidarity for those affected by the disease. They serve as a beacon of hope towards finding a cure.”
